The funding from this grant wi~l be used to plant 9,5~0 nat~ve ~rees <br />and shrub~ over the next ~wo yeaxs. Tlus work wil~ complemen~ the upcoming <br />ripar~an s~ope construction work tha~ the Ci~y and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers <br />w~ll be under~ak~ng at Del~a Ponds th~s coming ~ummer. <br />~DFW's "~50 Gra.nt Program" is a one-time funding saurce aimed at projects tha~ <br />enhance habitat for one or more of 4regon's sta~e symbo~s ~Chinook salmon, <br />American beaver, ~es~ern meadowlark, and Oregon swal~ow~ail} in preparat~on for <br />~regon's 15~'s bzr~hday celebration in 2009. <br />This work funded by this grant wil~ be completed under GJN 4572 ~De~ta Ponds <br />~DF'~V' Gra.nt}.
