~ ~
Steve Gallup Exhibit A
October 27, 20Qb
Page 2
compaction. One laboratory Mr test will be conducted on a compacted sample to determine the
pavement design value for compacted subgrade.
3. Design Analysis & Report
T'he cumulative Equivalent 1&kip Single Axle Load (ESAL) repetitions (traffic loading) for the design
period will be estimated from the traffic data that you have provided. Design recommendations will be
developed for alternative asphalt concrete and plain Portland cement co~rete (PCC) pavement sections
using the procedures of the 1993 AASHTO Guide for Design of Pavement Structures and the ODOT
Pavement Design Guide. The PCC pavement design will be based on Class 4350 concrete and joint
treatment recommendations will be provided. Alternative designs will be developed for construction
an compacted subgrade and for "cut and cover" construction with fabric reinforced aggregate subgrade
stabilization in lieu of subgrade compaction, The cut and. cover alternative may be advantageous to
expedite construction in wet soil conditions andlor in areas where subgrade stabilization is necessary.
The design recornmendatious will be summarized iA a design report together with design analysis
documentation. Three copies of the design report will be provided.
Project Fee
We propose to accomplish the above described work scope on a time and expenses basis in accordance
with the rate schedule in our current Personal Services Contract with the City (20x3-00216 Amendment
Our estimated fee for this work is 510,744 as itemized below, which we agree not exceed without
your prior authorization.
Labor Est~tate Hemel Rote F.xthnated Hours Leber Fee
Princi #138.72 6 #820
Pro t ieeer #100.88 80 #6.041
FWWSeaar7ecbnki~an #82.53 29 #i,813
E:lerical 358.29 4 #23;i
Lalmr Snbtetal 99 #8,908
t:xper~aa Itemizatfea
Item Basis Unlt Meta Q Tetat
FWgTest' ht. #180 2 #38D
FWD MobiOzatian Hale #].00 1it1 #110
field Work Psr giem Ae 5110,00 1 #110
C ' t ea. 59.25 2 #19
&inch ~a bit & etch kteb de h 53.50 12 #4z
H Goat+10% #5110
Ba " Subcoauactor Cost+i0% #830
MOea a mde #0.405 150 #81
i?x enssS~total #i,831
Total f~tlmated Fees #10.740
I appreciate the opportunity to present this proposal.
