PERSONAL SERVICES CONTRACT <br /> BETVVEEN:The City of Eugene, an Oregon Municipal Corporation (City) <br /> AND: Bill and Mary 6uchen <br /> SonArc, Inc. <br /> 223 E. 2"d St. <br /> New York, NY 10009 <br /> Phone: (212) 982-1743 (Contractors) <br /> RECITALS <br /> A Contractors are engaged in the business of artistic creation. <br /> B. City desires to engage Contractors to provide the services described in this <br /> agreement and Contractors are willing to provide such services on the terms and <br /> conditions set forth herein. <br /> C. The following are_ attached and incorporated as a .part of this contract: <br /> Attachment 1 -Approved designs and footing specifications <br /> . Exhibit - A City of Eugene Standard Contract Provisions <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> err <br /> 1. Services to be Provided. <br /> 1.1 Contractors agree to provide to City the following services ("the Work"), per <br /> their selection by the Public Art for Parks Selection Committee on May 15, 2001: three (3) <br /> Wind Reed Trees with Bells fabrics#ed of stainless steel, per attached design drawings. <br /> 1.2 Contractors and City are responsible for the following services: <br /> 1.2a. Contractors will be responsible for shipping the Work to City. <br /> 1.2b. Contractors will provide base plates of 1/2 inch minimum thickness. <br /> 1.2c. City will pour concrete slabs at each site, having a minimum thickness <br /> of 42 inches. Surface treatment will be reviewed by Contractor. <br /> 1.2d. City will assemble the Work upon arrival. <br /> 1.2e. City will attach the Work (with base plates) to concrete slabs with 1/2 <br /> inch stainless steel bolts, embedded a minimum of 6 1/4 inches. <br /> 1.3 All designs will be reviewed and approved by City. <br /> 1.4 Contractors shall ship the Works to City in accordance with dates specified in <br /> Section 3. Works shall be shipped to City, packaged to withstand normal transportation, <br /> handling and installation activities. Works not adequately protected or damaged in transit <br /> shall be replaced at no cost to City. <br /> Personal Services Contract - 1 <br /> <br />
