<br /> a'. <br /> EXHIBIT S -SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Parks and Open Space 1% for Art Project <br /> Tasks for the Visual Arts Coordinator 12/8/2000 <br /> • Meet with the design committee (facility manager, project manager, and project <br /> architect) to determine the type of selection process, extent of call to artists, project <br /> budget, artwork sites, types of artwork preferred, compensation for finalists, and <br /> potential members for the art selection committee. <br /> • Contact artists and community member to serve on the selection committee. <br /> • Prepare recommendation to the City Manager for artwork sites, budget, and art <br /> selection committee members. <br /> • Prepare the Call to Artists, or the Request for Proposals; review draft with design <br /> committee and art selection committee; revise and print, as requested. <br /> • Meet with the design committee to determine the extent and types of public notice for <br /> the Call to Artists; prepare and send out. <br /> • Set up public information meetings, if the design committee requests. <br /> • Mail Call to Artists to existing mailing list; monitor a-mail and phone requests for <br /> additional mailings. <br /> • Write and distribute news releases, public notices, as needed. <br /> • Process and organize all proposals received from artists. <br /> • Set up and facilitate the art selection committee meetings; prepare all materials for the <br /> meetings. <br /> • Notify those artists selected as finalists and communicate the committee's response to <br /> their proposals. <br /> • Return all materials to those artists not selected <br /> • Arrange for Finalist Fees and travel expenses, as necessary <br /> • Set up and facilitate the meeting to review finalist proposals. <br /> • Set up and facilitate a meeting to interview selected finalists. <br /> • Notify artists of the committee's decisions; return materials, as requested. <br /> • Prepare and manage artist contracts and payments. <br /> • Act as liaison between facility managers, project managers, and selected artists. <br /> • Communicate with selection committee, as requested by the City. <br /> • Attend project meetings and site installations, as requested. <br /> • Monitor art project budget. <br /> • Maintain the art project files; document and catalog the new acquisitions. <br /> • Ensure that contract provisions are met by both Ciry and artists. <br /> r <br /> <br />
