Final Scope of Work CH2MHILL <br /> <br /> ~er <br /> Polk Street Outfall Water Quality Improvements, <br /> Project # 3984 <br /> PREPaRED~R: Terry Colvin/City of Eugene <br /> PREPARED BY: Mark Bransom/CH2M HILL <br /> DATE: Apri17, 2005 - <br /> DESCRIPTION <br /> The purpose of the tasks described in this scope is to undertake both near- and long term <br /> basin planning and design efforts to address on-going storznwater quality issues in the <br /> drainage basin upstream of the Polk Street outfall. Major project tasks include a review of <br /> previous and on-going work (underway as part of the scope development task), <br /> development and evaluation of design alternatives for near-term construction, preparation <br /> of contract documents for construction of the preferred near-term alternative, and <br /> development of a basin strategies annotated outline to describe implementation of basin <br /> wide best management practices, including technical, administrative, financial, policy, and <br /> stakeholder involvement considerations, aswell as other factors necessary to establish <br /> appropriate authority and policy direction, establish measurable objectives, successfully <br /> allocate resources, and implement along-term plan to produce tangible improvements in <br /> stormwater quality and watershed health. Included in this scope of work document is a <br /> preliminary project schedule and an estimaked project budget. <br /> TASKS <br /> Task 1. Compile and Review Exiting Background Information - <br /> Task 1.1- CH2M HILL has worked with City staff to identify and compile existing <br /> informa#ion held by the City related to past studies, evaluations, site conditions, and other <br /> materials relevant to the current work. These materials include: aerial photography, as-built <br /> and other drawings for existing development, zoning maps, TV report, water quality <br /> monitoring data, and digital photographs. <br /> As a follow-up to the project scoping meeting held December 20, 2004 additional <br /> information to review was identified and includes: smoke test records, previously identified <br /> potential project sites, catch basin sediment data, and high volume traffic-area data. <br /> Additicmal review material could include utility plans for proposed developments or <br /> redevelopment, other mapping, reports, logs, and the current stormwater management <br /> master plan.
