• ~ also be a rather unpredictable variable, and I am committed to providing timely responses to
comments as they may arise. I anticipate, however, little controversy during processing of the
permit, given the nature of the site and the character of the project, and given the pre-application
meeting suggested above.
Fees
I propose to complete the services outlined above on an hourly basis, and I anticipate that certain
expenses will be incurred for mileage during site visits, and report production. The following is
my estimate of hours and costs required for the project.
Task 1. Wetland Delineation $b290
Office Research & Prelim. Analysis 12 hrs
Field Research 24 hrs
Wetland Report Dev. & Submittal 30 hrs
Coordination During Review 8 hrs
Task 2. Joint Permit Application Preparation $2975
JPA Form Completion & Submittal 25 hrs
Coordination During Processing 10 hrs
Anticipated Expenses (mileage, documentation reproduction) 350
Total: $9615
Fees and expenses will be billed monthly on an hourly basis according to the rates and terms
specified in the Professional Services Contract: my billing rate is $85 / hr; mileage will be billed
at $0.36 /mile; and other expenses will be billed at cost. Only hours actually spent on this project
will be billed, and some savings may be found if actual costs differ from the above estimates as
the project progresses.
Timeline
I am prepared to commence services within 10 days following receipt of the signed proposal. I
am committed to ensuring that the work progresses successfully and at a schedule which meets
your needs and those of the regulatory agencies. The Wetland Delineation Report of Findings
(draft) should be ready for your review within 6 weeks (mid-September). This will be finalized
and submitted shortly after receiving your comments and approval. The Joint Permit Application
will be developed and ready for your draft review shortly thereafter. I suggest planning for the
Pre-Application meeting to be held in October, with permit submittal by November 1~ This
should allow for processing and issuance of the permits by the beginning of construction season
in Spring 2004.
It is hoped that this estimate meets with your needs and expectations. If so, please sign the area
provided below, keep a copy for your files and return the original to me.
Thank you again, Kevin, for the opportunity to assist you with this important and interesting
project.
