This scope of work is the basis of the attached estimate for engineering services. Please note that
we have also included the assistance during construction. City may utilize our services during construction
at their discretion, on time and material basis.
Project Description: ,
Anew pump station wet well is planned by City to replace the existing well. Existing vault will be reused.
New Controls and starters will be located in the existing vault. The new pump station will have a wet well
with duplex submersible pumps, controlled through the wet well level controller. The pumps are expected
to be between 30 - 40 HP.
Scope of Work:
A. Design Work
1. City will provide contact information, and Elcon will coordinate with Power Utility to verify
adequacy of existing service connection for the pump station.
2.
3. Items to be replaced with new are -main service disconnect, manual transfer switch, generator
receptacle, control panel, pump disconnect panel near wet well, conduits and wires to new wet
well, and level transducer (US Filter Model D153).
4. Items to be reused are -Telemetry panel and antenna, 480V panel, transformer and LP panel,
lights, and receptacles inside the vault. We are assuming that the short circuit current due to the
larger service connection will not exceed the 480V panel rating.
5. Develop aone-line diagram, and electrical power plan. Reduced voltage solid-state starter will be
used for motors larger than 30 HP.
Proposal Division PS.doc Page 1 of 3
Specializing in Power, Lighting, Communications and Control Systems
Portland, OR ¦ Seattle, WA ¦ Long Beach, CA ¦ Sacramento, CA
