f ' <br /> -Page2of5- <br /> The project will require DEQ review and approval prior to construction. A City of Eugene building <br /> permit wilt also be required. We are assuming that the City will pay all permit and review fees directly. <br /> The City currently has professional services contracts with two consultants performing design work on <br /> this project. Elcon Associates is providing electrical design services for this project. M.R. Richards <br /> Engineering is providing the structural design for the project. The City will maintain and administer these <br /> contracts directly including payments and any required addendums. BI-lE will coordinate the design with <br /> these consultants and incorporate their drawings into a complete drawing set. Technical and Division 1 <br /> specifications from BHE and other consultants will be provided to the City in electronic format. The City <br /> will prepare, reproduce, and distribute the project manual, including bidding and contract documents, and <br /> advertise the project. We will provide one vellum set of drawings to the City for reproduction and <br /> distribution. <br /> This project was designed by City staff to an approximately 90% level. BHE will obtain and review all <br /> previous design work. Electronic copies of all AutoCAD drawing files and other documents prepared to <br /> date, spreadsheets, etc., will be provided on disk by the City. We will complete the design and produce <br /> 100% contract documents for review by the City. Once we receive review comments, we will prepare <br /> final construction documents in anticipation of an April 15, 2005 advertisement date. <br /> Scone of Services <br /> We will provide civil engineering services, as follows: <br /> Task 1: Design and Bidding Phase <br /> Task 2: Construction Phase <br /> Task 1: Design and Bidding Phase <br /> We will provide civil engineering services for the design and bidding phase as further detaited below: <br /> Complete design and provide construction documents to the City for advertisement. The project will be <br /> designed in conformance with City standards and DEQ requirements. The drawings and specifications <br /> <br /> will be reviewed and permitted through DEQ and the City's building department. Specifications will be <br /> in CSI format. <br /> Design Period Services <br /> ? Coordination and/or meetings with owner and other design team members. <br /> ? Coordination and/or meetings with wastewater division representatives. <br /> ? Coordination and/or meetings with utility company representatives for coordination. <br /> ? Provide public improvement drawings for the pump station improvements. Documents will be <br /> produced in plan profile format with cover sheet, index sheet, erosion control plan, site layout, <br /> grading plan, plan and section drawings for wastewater system improvements, and pavements. <br /> ? Coordination and integration of electrical and structural consultants drawings. <br /> ? Include in Division 2 technical specifications any additional requirements relative to earthwork; site <br /> utility trenching and backfill, storm drain system, asphaltic concrete pavements, and concrete curbs, <br /> gutter, and walks. <br /> ? Select pumps and other mechanical equipment, prepare Division 15 technical specifications. <br /> A Submit (5) copies of 100% construction documents to City for review. <br /> ? Submit documents to DEQ and City building department. Revise documents as required to obtain <br /> approval from both agencies. <br /> ? Submit public improvement documents to utility companies for concurrences. <br /> A Prepare,a budget-level construction cost estimate. <br /> <br />
