I have spare
paint from the vendor that I'll send along to Amenities.
2) The accessible sand dig has been filled and sculpted and Tom or Vince will turn the water back on again this afternoon.
It seems that because so much sand was removed from this area that we have an excess at the end of the River that
could potentially be relocated to the pump and water wheel area, but I'll leave that up to the Amenities Maintenance staff
and your ability to deal with this from a time standpoint. Clearly, it's really fun for the kids, so I don't want to micro
manage it -but it's a consideration.
3) The stage coach work is still in process and I'll keep everyone updated as it moves along. ,
4) The new mow strip has been poured in the lawn east of the sand area and will be overseeded soon.
5) All of the landscape beds were weeded, re-mulched and filled in with spare plants where we had gaps. This component
of the project should be ready for hand off within the week. Adam will be in touch.
6)' The lawns are almost up and ready for re-inspection by turf and grounds folks. Adam should be in touch.
7) The pump and water wheel have been working intermittently, but we've managed to get many of the manuals translated
from German to English, so hopefully this will help. Please keep me apprised of other troubleshooting issues if we're
having them and I'll do my best to keep dogging the vendor for answers.
8) A vertically mounted activation bollard for the Little Willamette has been ordered from the water play vendor and should
arrive in 6-8 weeks.
9) Safety issues (relatively minor ones) on the Skinner Butte Climber have been brought to the attention of the local LSI rep
by Jeff Hanson and fixes are in the works.
10) Last, but not least, O & M manuals are in process and should be delivered to your offices within the month. I've ordered a
couple of maintenance manuals for the Skinner Butte Climber, so those should be here soon as well.
Thanks again to everyone for their ongoing commitment to keeping this place going through the bumps of opening it up to the
public. Everyone keeps coming back to play, so we must be doing a good job.
I'll be out tomorrow and the 18th-28th so hopefully most of the issues will be resolved prior to my vacation.
a great weekend O
Emily
9/6/2006
