CLARK t~ebbie D
~ ~
From: CAHILL Michelle R
Sent: Tuesday, September 05, 2006 5:03 PM
PROUDFOOT Emily A
Cc: HOSTICK Robin A; RISDAL Lacey L; MILOVICH Scott R; CLARK Debbie D
Subject: RE: RiverPlay fixes wrap up.

Thanks for the update Emily. Plenty of things to track. Good work.
On thQ money side I heard from Lynn B today that there is no due the contractor this pay period. Kind of suprising but this gives
us a breather to get the funding and purchasing squared away. Thanks for your efforts on this side of the project also.
me
From: PROUDFOOT Emily A
Sent:.Tuesday, September 05, 2006 4:58 PM
To: StEFFEN Adam R; RICHARDS Todd; HALLETT Rob R; GIRARD Chris J; UTT Tom; HANSON Jeff P; ZUCKER Richard; HOSTICK
Robin A; PETERSON Carrie A
Cc: FINNEY Kevin P; WEISS Carolyn J; MILOVICH Scott R; CAHILL Michelle R
Subject: FW: RiverPlay fixes wrap up.
All -
I thought I'd do another round of updates on outstanding RiverPlay issues -we're getting very close to final completion on this
one. Ifi I don't mention something that you have a question about, please let me know.
1) The stage coach will be repaired tomorrow and Thursday and reopen for public use on Saturday, 9/9. The quick version
is that LSI staff will pour footings and place new shocks tomorrow morning on site, and then have a welder come out to
the Roosevelt Yard to do some work early tomorrow afternoon. The stage coach will be reinstalled first thing Thursday
morning with City and LSI staff. It will reopen for public use at the request of amenities staff on Saturday morning.
2), On Wednesday afternoon, LSI staff will make necessary repairs and adjustments to a few of the components on the
Skinner Butte Climber that amenities staff have discovered to be less than safe, or a little wobbly, etc. These repairs will
be completed before Thursday 9/7
3) Both landscape and lawn components of this project have been rolled over to City maintenance staff for ongoing
maintenance.
4} The antenna which remotely connects the control of the water play components of the site was vandalized a couple of
weeks ago and deemed to be only partially repairable. As a result, I have ordered a new antenna which should be here
within 10 days or so. Simultaneously, Ihave re-negotiated with the vendor of the Water Odyssey products to provide us
with new activation buttons for both the Weeping Water fixture and the Little Willamette activator fixture. These new
buttons are completely sealed components and should provide an excellent fix to the issue of sand interfering with the
proper operation of these fixtures. We'll get a new antenna to trade with the old one (that I just ordered) as the old style
will be incompatible with the new buttons. Look for all of this to be finished before the end of the year. I've heard 8 weeks
or so, but I'll believe it all when I have buttons in my hand.
5~ Lastly, we're having ongoing performance issues with the water pump and the wheel. I'm looking to have a discussion
with Tom Utt tomorrow in the hope of reaching an operational solution to the seemingly random functionality of this piece.
6) Kevin Finney brought an issue with the Ferry to my attention over the weekend which is that it's very stiff and potentially
there's a connection to the bottom rail of the gondola which may not be functioning properly. I'll research this by the end
of the week and get back to Jeff and/or Kevin.
~.~e let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns and thanks again for your ongoing persistence and
professionalism as we work the kinks out of this great playground.
Emily
9i6izoo6
