BID N0.28 <br /> CALL FOR BIDS <br /> Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon will receive sealed bids until Wednesday, <br /> September 22, 2004, until the Bid Closing time of 2:00 p.m. at the office of the City Engineer, 244 East Broadway, <br /> Eugene, Oregon. The Bid Opening will be at 2:05 p.m., on Wednesday, September 22, 2004, at the above location, at <br /> which time and place those Bids will be opened and read. <br /> Job: AMAZON HEADWATERS TRAIL <br /> 4180 between the end of Canyon Drive and extending to existing Ridgeline Trailhead on Fox . <br /> Hollow Road Project Scope: Constructing trail. The length of the construction is <br /> approximately 1,681 meters. The work involves clearing, grubbing, and excavation. Several <br /> log retaining walls, raised trail beds and a number of culverts will be installed for drainage. <br /> Two puncheon sections and two glulam beam trail bridges will be constructed. Grade dips <br /> will provide most of the drainage on the new trail. Several Switchbacks with treated log <br /> barriers on posts will also be required in the construction of the trail <br /> All work must be completed by December 17, 2004. <br /> PRE-BID MEETING: All interested parries aze invited to attend anon-mandatory pre-bid meeting to be held on <br /> Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the Garden conference room at 244 E. Contractor is subject to the Davis-Bacon <br /> Act (40U.S.C.276a). No bid will be received or considered unless the bid contains a statement by the bidder that <br /> provisions of 40 U.S.C.276a shall be complied with. <br /> Prime Bidders are required to submit, with all bid proposal documents prior to the bid closing date and time, a list of <br /> First-Tier Subcontractors as defined in ORS 279.027.
