. AIRPORT Eu ene Ai ort -Parallel DATE 11/29/05
Runwa Pro'ect
~,OCATION Eugene, Oregon AIP PROJECT NO. 3-41-0018-35
Job No. 4183
CONTRACTOR Wildish Construction Co. Chan a Order 14
JUSTIFICATION FOR CHANGE
2. Reason(s) for the change(s) (Continue on reverse if necessary)
2660 -Spacer for electrical room work bench
There will be a 3/4-inch water line on the wall behind the new workbench. A spacer is necessary to provide room for
installing the new water line that connects to an outside hose bib.
2670 -Gravel widening on the south side of the perimeter slab around the electrical building
The original concrete slab on the south side of the electrical building was not wide enough to Load and off load trucks.
Additional gravel surface will therefore need to be added.
2680 - Ertra Cost for Painting
The project specifications state that the first coat of paint is to be applied at a thickness of 7-8 mils, which is not in
conformance with the standard FAA specification AC 150/5370-10A, which requires 115 ft2/gal. After the first day of
painting, the first coat was inspected and it was determined that the paint was transparent and needed to be applied at a
coverage rate of 115 ftZ/gal.
2690 -Additional cost to clean pavement behind grooving machine
The project specifications did not specifically require the contractor to continually flush the runway with water during the
grooving operation. This work was requested by the Engineer to prevent permanent staining and discoloration of the paint
markings on Rwy 16L/34R
2700 -Repair Monaco service road
The contractor was allowed to use a service road near the Monaco hangar to acxess Rwy 16R/34L. The heavy equipment
and dump truck traffic caused damage to the road that required reconstruction of the pavement section. The repairs are
necessary to restore the service road to pre-construction condition.
2710 -Electrical overtime
We compensated the contractor to work extra time to ensure that Rwy 16L/34R would be open on September I, 2005.
2720 -Change Project Completion Date
This time extension is required to provide the contractor with enough time and acceptable weather to complete the project.
6
