Chan a Order 14 <br /> JUSTIFICATION FOR CHANGE <br /> 1. ~,3rief description of the proposed contract chansxe(sl and location(sl. <br /> 2660 -Spacer for electrical room work bench <br /> Add a spacer to the wall behind the workbench in the electrical room. This spacer will match the existing workbench <br /> surface and will be 1 1/4" thick, 91/2" tall, will be mounted to the wall, and will run the length of the workbench. <br /> 2670 -Gravel widening on the south side of the perimeter slab around the electrical building <br /> The driveway approach on the south side of the electrical vault building will be widened with gravel. Gravel will be <br /> placed adjacent to the existing concrete slab and compacted to extend out 5-feet from the existing concrete slab. This <br /> widening also requires the extension of the existing drain pipe that is parallel to the road located west of the electrical <br /> building.. <br /> 268p - Ertra Cost for Painting <br /> The thickness of the first coat of all new striping and marking under this project will be increased from 8-mils, as specified <br /> in the contract, to a coverage rate of 115 square feetlgallon. This change is for the additional cost of Labor and materials to <br /> increase the thickness of the first coat. <br /> 2690 -Additional cost to clean pavement behind grooving machine <br /> The contractor was directed to clean the residual slurry from the grooving machine with a water truck. The water truck <br /> was present full time when the grooving occurred. <br /> 2700 -Repair Monaco service road <br /> The service road south of the Monaco Hangar will be reconstructed with 4-inches of asphalt and 1&inches of gravel over <br /> geotechnical fabric. <br /> 2710 -Electrical overtime <br /> The electrical sub-contractor was directed to work overtime between July 16, 2005 and August 27, 2005 to ensure that <br /> Rwy 16L/34R will open on September 1, 2005. The electrical sub-contractor will be paid the additional 1/2 time only, not <br /> the regular time. <br /> 2720 -Change Project Completion Date <br /> Section 5 as modified by Change Order 7 of the Construction Contract requires the project phases to be completed on the <br /> following schedule: <br /> Phase II -All Paving, Marking, and Grooving -July 14, 2005 <br /> Phase II -All Remaining Work -September 1, 2005 <br /> Phase III -September 1, 2005 <br /> Phase IV -December I, 2005 <br /> This change order modifies the above schedule of completion as follows: <br /> Phases Ii, III, and IV -All remaining work -July 1, 2006 <br /> The contractor will prepare a work schedule for approval by the owner prior to commencement of any work. <br /> <br /> ~j,,,,, 5 of 7 <br /> 4 <br /> <br />
