<br /> ESCRIPTtgN: The Project will be a fed-
<br /> ~ eraUy funded public works project that in-
<br /> eludes: (1) construction of a new Parallel
<br /> Runway, Taxiway 16L/34R,.(2) conversion of
<br /> an existing runway into Taxiway P, and (3j
<br /> aRemate improvemerKS selected by the City.
<br /> Construction is divided into four phases as
<br /> show in the project plans. Phase 1 of the
<br /> Project has been fully funded under the
<br /> FAA's- current budget and will commence
<br /> upon execution of the contract in 2004. The
<br /> commencement of the remaining phases is
<br /> contingent on the timing of a subsequent fed-
<br /> eral appropriation which is currently sched-
<br /> uled to be received in the first haU of 2005. .
<br /> The City anticipates that it will issue its notice
<br /> to proceed for the remain phases by June 1,
<br /> 2005 and that Phase III and IV will be com-
<br /> pleted mostly in the 2006 construction
<br /> season; however, construction of Phases II,
<br /> III, IV are contingent on the City's receipt of
<br /> the second round of federal funding.
