It is our understanding that the information provided to the City may be <br /> used to develop applications for submittal to ODOT for the HBRR/OTIA III bridge selection that <br /> is to take place in October 2003. <br /> Scone of Work <br /> The following is a description of work tasks anticipated to be required to complete load rating, <br /> and inspection work. <br /> Task 1- Crack Mapping& Inspection <br /> OBEC will perform a crack investigation for the Ferry St. Viaduct No. 40056. Previous ODOT <br /> inspections have indicated potential cracks in several girders above the EWEB storage yazd. <br /> OBEC will utilize aboom-lift vehicle to have hands-on access to the girders and record crack <br /> sizes. The City will need to arrange for temporary access from EWEB for their fenced areas. <br /> Typical crack reports and girder mapping will be provided. <br /> Task 2 -Load Ratings(Concrete Spans onlyl <br /> OBEC will utilize the previous crack report for the Ferry St. Bridge No. 06648 and the crack <br /> report obtained in Task 1 for Bridge No. 40056 to load rate the concrete spans. Summazy reports <br /> and load postings will be submitted to the City. <br /> Task 3 -Recommendations <br /> Based on the information gathered in Tasks 1 & 2, OBEC will make recommendations for <br /> maintenance and repair. We anticipate that this will include the amount and location of <br /> temporary crack injections for the short term. We also will recommend <br /> the need for longer term repairs, if required.
