The purpose of the addendum is to include Hilyard Street from
East 19"' Avenue to East 24"' Avenue to the City of Eugene PPP 2007 list of projects. The section
of Hilyard Street is approximately 2,500 feet long and one way to the north from East 23id Avenue
to East 18"' Avenue. The services to be provided include pavement rehabilitation analysis
consisting of falling weight deflectometer (FWD) testing, subsurface explorations, and equivalent
single-axle load (ESAu calculations.
ROPE OF WORK
We propose to complete shallow cores and FWD testing to evaluate the existing pavement
conditions. Our specific scope of services will include the following:
• Complete a distress survey of the existing pavement, including logging the extent of cracking
and rutting.
• Explore subsurface conditions in the road right-of--way by completing up to five cores to
depths of up to 5 feet below the ground surface.
• Maintain a detailed log of the explorations and obtain samples of the pavement, base, and
subgrade materials encountered.
• Obtain soil samples at select depths in the soil borings.
