Materials <br /> 00757.10 General -Materials shall meet the following requirements: <br /> Bar Reinforcement 02510 <br /> Roller Compacted Concrete Materials 02002 <br /> Curing Materials ; 02050 - <br /> Epoxy and Nonepoxy Bonding Agents 02070 <br /> Epoxy and Nonepoxy Grouts 02080 <br /> Galvanizing 02530.70 <br /> Poured Joint Fillers 02440.30 ' <br /> Preformed Expansion Joint Filler 02440.10 <br /> Structural Steel 02530 <br /> 00757.11 Classes of Concrete -Provide Class 4000 - 3!4" roller compacted concrete: <br /> 00757.13 RCC Mix Designs -Prepare and submit either new mix designs or current mix <br /> designs for each class of concrete required according to Section 02002. The Engineer will <br /> review the mix design for compliance with the Specifications. n Lo o ~ . ~ t <br /> 00757.14 RCC Mix Tolerances and Limits - Provide a workable RCC mixture that is <br /> uniform in composition and consistency and conforms to the properties and limits of 02002.30 <br /> and 02002.50. <br /> 00757.15 Quality Control -Perform qualify control according to Section 00165 and the <br /> following. <br /> (a) Aggregates - Provide a CAgT to perform sampling and testing of aggregates during <br /> production. Sample and test each stockpiled size according to the test procedures and at the <br /> frequencies shown In the Field Tested Materials Guide section of the MFTP. Record and <br /> evaluate test results according to Section 00165. <br /> (b) RCC Mixture - Provide a QCT to sample and test RCC for all classes of RCC and. for ~ . <br /> trial batches when required. Provide a CCT to prepare new mix designs and to make <br /> adjustments in current mix designs for all paving RCC. Provide a CCT, as required in Table <br /> 02002-1, for all paving RGC during RCC placements who is authorized to control the production <br /> of RCC. <br /> If the results of any test are outside of the spec cation limits, stop the placement of the load. <br /> Correct the load or reject it and do not incorporate it into the work.. Test subsequent loads <br /> before any further RCC placement. Correct the subsequent loads if any of the tests are still <br /> outside the specification limits. If the load: cannot be corrected, reject it and do not incorporate it <br /> into the work. Testing of subsequent loads may return to the specified frequency when the test <br /> results from two consecutive loads are shown to meet the specification limits. <br /> Reject the RCC mix if it has not been placed within one hour after being mixed, or it has begun <br /> to take initial set before placement, or it has been re-tempered with water. <br /> (c) Records -Deliver all batch tickets, water-cement ratio calculations; and all other records <br /> required in (b) above to the Engineer upon availability but no later than the morning of the next <br /> day. <br /> <br /> Special Provisions -Job #4317 Page 4 of 26 <br /> <br />
