TO E. 11T" AVENUE <br /> 00120.15 Examination of Work site and Solicitation Documents; Consideration of <br /> Conditions to be Encountered <br /> 00130.50 Execution of Contract and Bonds: <br /> (a) By the Bidder <br /> (REPLACE) The first sentence of the first paragraph to read "The general Contractor shall <br /> deliver the required number of Contract booklets with the properly executed <br /> Contract, Performance Bond, certification of worker's compensation coverage, <br /> and required certificates of insurance, to the Construction Contracts Unit within <br /> five (5) Calendar Days after the date on which the Contract booklets are mailed <br /> or otherwise conveyed to the general Contractor under Section 00130.10" <br /> 00180.00 Scope of Work <br /> (ADD) The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate the surfacing of Franklin Boulevard <br /> between Walnut St. and E. 11~' Avenue in conjunction and coordination with work <br /> being performed as .part of the LTD EMX Contract Number 2002-18. The limits <br /> of this project are from approximate EMX M-Line station 4+933 to station 3+700 <br /> on Franklin Boulevard and include all areas of paving not to be rehabilitated as <br /> part of the LTD EMX project. Approximate areas of rehabilitation work to be <br /> performed under this contract are shown in Exhibit D. <br /> The existing surface of Franklin Boulevard within the project limits shall be cold <br /> planed 2-inches to 2.5-inches, except in areas of surface stabilization. One 2- <br /> inch to 2.5 inch lift of Level 3, Dense HMAC shall be placed in the areas of <br /> cold plane pavement removal. As identified by the inspector, various areas <br /> within the project limits will have surface stabilization and shall be repaved. The <br /> section for surface stabilization is 2-inches of Level 3, %i" Dense HMAC on fl- <br /> inches of Level 3, 3/." Dense HMAC on 8-inches of (1 1/2" -0") aggregate base on <br /> geotextile fabric. Manholes shall be adjusted as identified by the engineer to <br /> facilitate rehabilitation work. Loop detectors shall be installed where traffic loops <br /> are removed as part of construction operations and are not scheduled to be <br /> replaced as part of the LTD EMX project. One traffic camera shall be furnished <br /> by the City and shall be installed and maintained by the Contractor until <br /> permanent traffic detection is installed. Temporary striping and pavement <br /> markings shall be placed after cold plane pavement removal before the street is <br /> open to traffic. Flexible overlay pavement markers and taped pavement markings <br /> shall be placed and maintained on top lift paving until permanent striping is <br /> placed as part of the LTD EMX project. Four post mounted City Provided signs, <br /> only sign placards shall be supplied by the City, shall be installed by the <br /> Contractor and removed at the end of the project as directed by the Engineer. <br /> Mobilization, temporary protection and direction of traffic, erosion control, and <br /> flagging needed to complete the work described in this section shall be included <br /> in the scope of work for this project. <br /> Special Provisions -Job Number 4390 Page 1 <br /> <br />
