EXHIBIT D <br />SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR <br />BROADWAY CONCRET.E PAVEMENT <br />JOB #4482 <br />00180.50 Contract Time to Complete Work <br />(ADD) to section (a): <br />The time allowed to complete the Work stipulated in the Solicitation Documents is <br />hereby modified. The completion date shall be October 24, 2007. <br />00195.20 Changes to Plans or Character of Work <br />(b) Significant Changed Work <br />(ADD) The contractor acknowledges the significant changes in the design as part of the project <br />development process. These include but may not be limited to the depth of excavation, <br />amount of rebar, thickness of concrete. The contractor agrees to negotiate in good faith <br />to revise the unit prices provided in the proposal for the work. <br />00195.50 Progress Payments and Retained Amounts: <br />(1) Progress Estimates <br />(ADD) It is anticipated that work may occur September 24th and 25, 2007. The payment for <br />this work will be included in the progress estimate with the cutoff date of October 25, <br />2007. <br />00755.54 Longitudinal Pavement Cracks <br />(ADD) The City acknowledges there are some unconventional joints included in the design in <br />order to blend the project with the Plaza area. Specifically joints are not aligned and <br />may create an opportunity for uncontrolled cracking that may be visible to the eye. The <br />Contractor will not be responsible for cracking due to the unconventional jointing <br />pattern as long as all other good construction practices and material specifications are <br />met (proper slump, concrete strength, batch time, curing, weather conditions, timing of <br />cutting planned joints, rebar placement, workmanship, etc. <br />
