1 <br /> Diversity Speaker <br /> Contract: 2008 - 00329 , <br /> Exhibit B -Scope of Work <br /> Services to be provided: Contractor shall provide training for the City of Eugene Public <br /> Works Diversity Committee and the American Public Works Association in compliance <br /> with the following: <br /> 1. Contractor shall present two -two hour trainings, and one one-hour break-out <br /> session on the topic of homelessness -the impact on the homeless and public <br /> works departments and what we can do. In addition, the contractor shall <br /> present a 30-minute motivational keynote presentation to inspire leaders on <br /> what they can do that will make a difference in their communities. <br /> 2. The two-hour trainings will be held on April 16, 2008 at City of Eugene <br /> training rooms. The one-hour breakout session (50 minutes with 10 minutes <br /> <br /> i <br /> for questions and answers) and keynote address will be held on April 17, 2008 <br /> at the Valley River Inn in Eugene, OR. <br /> 3. Contractor shall provide all materials necessary to conduct the training. <br /> 4. The American Public Works Association conference is scheduled at the <br /> Valley River Inn in Eugene, Oregon for April 16 and 17, 2008, and includes <br /> meals as a part of the conference sessions. <br /> 5. Contractor will be provided with an eight-foot table on or near appearance site <br /> to sell and dis la hotos, to es, books, etc. Contractor will use this table as a <br /> p YP p <br /> place to sign autographs. <br /> 6. Contractor shall be paid a total of $4,400, including speaking fees of $4,000 <br /> and travel and meal expenses of $400. An advance of $2,200 will be mailed to <br /> Contractor by March 3, 2008, by the Oregon Chapter APWA Conference <br /> Committee. The balance of $2,200 shall be paid by April 30, 2008, by the City <br /> of Eugene. Contractor shall submit separate invoices for the advance and final <br /> payment. <br /> 7. In the event Contractor cannot perform work on the dates outlined above, <br /> Contractor shall notify the City 30 days prior to the scheduled trainings and <br /> reschedule for a mutually agreed upon time within the next 30 days. The <br /> speaking engagement and training session for the American Public Works <br /> Association cannot be rescheduled. If Contractor is unable to appear, <br /> Contractor will help secure another comparable speaker and shall refund the <br /> payment of $2,200. <br /> <br />
