'~o: LANKSTON Jeff; MEDARY Sarah J
Gc: MORRIS Larry L; SVENDSEN Glen L
~ubject: RE: Autren Path lighting
~,;
t,.
!
Jeff and Sarah,
i`m not sure where we are with the Olympic Trials Autzen Path Lighting project. Are we still planning on soliciting partner
funding from the University and EWEB?
t~think we have a good cost estimate for the project that is less than what we originally thought. The costs for the entire
corridor (south side of the bridge to Leo Harris Pkwy) is about $150,000. I believe this leaves us about $40,000 short on
t~ie funding.
Also, Scott Milovich mentioned that it takes several months lead time on light pole orders because they are a custom job.
~
Let me know if you need additional information,
Carolyn
~
~rom: SVENDSEN Glen L
~ent: Monday, October 01, 2007 8:25 AM
~o: WEISS Carolyn J
Cc: MORRIS Larry L
Subject: RE: Autren Path lighting
~arolyn - In talking with Larry, the staff costs for each pole would be about $360, plus the cost of an adaptor, would result
~n a cost of the Facilities piece to $410 per pole. (about an hour per pole. The wiring should be OK to re-use. At this
point it should take about 4 hours total per pole to install the new adapters, heads, ballasts and wiring up to new heads.
The adaptors for the new heads would be about $50 per pole. Scott also added the following suggestion:
For a system of this size you'd want to be sure and budget for engineering work to determine proper voltage, wire size and
all that.
Can we do that in house?
From: SVENDSEN Glen L
Sent: Thursday, September 13, 2007 11:12 AM
To: WEISS Carolyn J; MORRIS Larry L; RICHARDSON Philip S; MILOVICH Scott R; EICHNER-KELLEY Lynne M
Subject: RE: Autzen Path lighting
Carolyn - Thanks for the update.
Follow-up on a couple things -
Larry is making sure that the existing metal poles on the Autzen footbridge will work with the new heads.
2. Since we need new poles along the footpath, upgrading the wiring should be done at the same time.
new wiring is appropriate. ~
So, budgeting for ``
