Sponsored by The Friends of Hendricks Park, the free, public lecture <br /> is part of an educational series this spring and summer. <br /> Gleason participated in the development of the Hendricks Park Forest Management <br /> Plan, a comprehensive plan that outlines strategies for preserving and enhancing the Hendricks <br /> Park forest. He is also the author of Birds!From the Inside Out. The final lecture in the series <br /> will be about forest ecology on September 15. All events are free and open to the public. <br /> The purpose of the Friends of Hendricks Park is to raise awareness of Hendricks Park <br /> as a valuable community and regional resource, provide stewardship in the management of the <br /> park by assisting with the implementation of the Hendricks Park Forest Management Plan, <br /> educate the public about issues that affect the park, and generate a broad base of community <br /> support for the park.
