Chris, I'd like to understand better what this issue is - I
can't tell from John's note. The thing I'd like to talk to
you about is avoiding the City doing a piecemeal approach with
funding neighborhood concerns (why parks and not traffic
calming, etc.). Some budget comm. members have talked to me
separately about having some funds available each year for
neighborhood issues. Shawn also talked last night at BC about
setting aside a $250k fund for these kind of requests. Let's
not start something outside of those discussions, and that
process. Thanks, Linda
From: ANDERSEN Chris F
To: NORRIS Linda H; LYLE Les A
Subject: RE: Amazon Creek at Oak Patch--small scale project (fwd)
Date: Monday, April 29, 1996 5:31 PM
Bob, John and I have discussed Nancy's proposal. Basically we
are looking for matching funds and low maintenance cost
improvements as we try to address neighborhood interest in
improvement projects. With these criteria in mind I do not
feel we want to be stonewalling neighborhood interest in the
park system. Let me know if you have other concerns--I am
comfortable with the minimal nature of the projects described
below. Thanks, Chris
From: LYLE Les A
To: NORRIS Linda H; ANDERSEN Chris F
Subject: FW: Amazon Creek at Oak Patch--small scale project (fwd)
Date: Monday, April 29, 1996 1:53PM
Not sure if you are aware of some of the recent communications
John has had with Nancy. Some of the budgetary responses are
a bit disturbing as they relate to an already challenged
general fund.
