AMAZON CREEK CHANNEL IMPROVEMENT - PROJECT NO. 15-01 (Continued)
d. Encroachments on the right-of-way were noted at the
following locations : scrap steel is stored along sections of the
shoulder (right bank) upstream of Oak Patch Road; and a fence is
located along the shoulder (right bank) at the county
fairgrounds . These encroachments do not impact the integrity of
the project and they will not limit access for construction
equipment in these areas during maintenance operations and during
times of flooding. Repairs and flood fight operations would be
conducted from the opposite bank.
6 . RESOLUTION OF PERMITS : None .
7 . REQUIRED MAINTENANCE TO ENSURE PROJECT INTEGRITY: The
following maintenance item should be corrected prior to the next
inspection:
LOCATION REQUIRED MAINTENANCE ESTIMATED QUANTITIES
Various Selective clearing 0 . 5 acre
of trees and brush
in channel
8 . GENERAL RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE. None .
9 . CONCLUSION AND RATING: The Amazon Creek Channel Improvement
project is well maintained. The inspection found the general
maintenance of the flood control works to be "Excellent" .
John Todd, P.E.
Civil Engineer
