Draft Draft Draft
Mr. Duckett summarized the revised SWMT Work Plan as follows:
1) Review of enforcement/compliance assessments programs within Public Works
2) Identification of a lead for the Underground Injection Control Program
3) Identify participants for the West Nile Virus response team
4) Determine level of review or additional work for the Open Waterways Maintenance
Plan
5) Determine staff and approach for the Stormwater Development Standards
6) Determine approach for the Open Waterways protection plan
7) Determine lead and time line for the NPDES annual report
8) Discuss the upcoming stormwater program review
The group agreed with the revised SWMT Work Plan. Mr. Corey suggested that time lines be
identified for each of the items to show the allocation of resources. He observed that the
Development Standards would involve other departments, the Planning Commission, and
possibly the Department Advisory Committee (DAC). Ms. Walch commented that while the
DAC had expired at the end of the calendar year, it was on"standby" and could be reactivated for
the development standards project.
There was an extended discussion of the connection between the open waterways and
development standards projects and the possibility of moving them forward together. Ms. Walch
suggested the Policy Team could make that decision once the Management Team had developed
more information on the scope and resource implications of both projects.
4.
