12.Continue the Willamette Wildlife Rescue operation on an interim basis,
allowing them time to relocate. The Eugene Parks and Recreation Plan has
identified the barn as a resource that will be converted to serve community and
recreation needs.
The Willamette Wildlife Rescue continues to operate out of this location. The
recommendation to convert the barn to recreation needs was not renewed in the
2006 update of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Comprehensive Plan.
13.Manage vegetation near 30th Avenue and Lincoln to maintain a view of the
Coburg Hills. Picnic tables or benches are appropriate in this view area.
No vegetation management for the purpose of preserving views has been
undertaken.
14.Using native rock, improve the stream channel through the woods to create
pools for aesthetic purposes, as well as to contain storm flows.
No stream restoration work in the woodland area has been undertaken. This will
be a significant capitol improvement project.
