4. LOWER MEADOW
This area will remain as open space and play area and will function in this
capacity as it supports the passive picnic area and the activity center to the west.
The natural stream will be maintained and enhanced in future development schemes.'
5. NATURAL PRESERVE
This area will serve as a buffering screen with the adjoining neighborhood and
will preserve the existing growth which adds the natural character to the park. Also,
• it will serve as a refuge for wildlife and will be interspersed with nature trails that
will connect with other use areas.
6. PASSIVE PICNIC'AREA
This area will remain mostly in its natural state by taking advantage of all the
native oaks , rock out croppings and interesting topographic features. 'It will be
mainly a picnic area with trails, flora exhibits and supporting structures such as
restrooms and picnic shelters.
The total site will be treated in a passive natural open space use with connecting
trails to all areas and supporting activity structures commonly available in this type
of park. The activity center area, or core area, plus the entrance and parking area
will require extensive analysis on its use before we can be more specific on land uses.
The other areas surrounding the core center are natural exciting areas which lends '
itself to uses which I have described,-. -1 .:.
