This labor pool totaled over 900 actual labor hours involved in this cleanup effort.
All debris was hauled off by Sani-Pac and recycled due to its
organic nature. Four full Treetruck loads of chips were
transported to N. Grand @ Maurie Jacobs Park for mulch.
Sani-Pac Debris hauled totaled over 200 cubic yards. Just
under 200 trees were trimmed with 10 actual removals.
Just within section one of WJ, we filled 2, 3.3 quart size
sharps containers with syringes. Within the same week at the
hillside just north of 255 Lincoln we collected over 300
syringes. In conversations with the Sheriff, when they cleaned
up the freeway landscapes just two blocks north of the WJ site
they collected over 300 syringes. A conservative estimate for
what syringes were found and disposed of would total over
1500. These numbers would help explain why the Riverside crew
averages 7-10 syringes found per day within the WJ site over
the past year.
Page 2
