Just to refresh your memory, here are a few comments by the City that have proven less <br /> than truthful: <br /> * "We've paid over$100,000 an acre to acquire parks"(they had no intention of <br /> offering us that kind of money!) <br /> * "We'll take care of it and keep the weeds down" (they haven't) <br /> * "We'll take care of the trees just planted around the perimeter,we have people <br /> water during the summer. So you may remove the drip lines to the trees." <br /> * "If we buy this, it will not be used for a park for at least 10 or 15 years." <br /> * "If you refuse to sell we will be forced to `take' your property."...Then 4 'h <br /> months ago Russ Royer says "I don't think it was our intention in your <br /> - <br /> case." <br /> * "We can't designate this to be a park forever!" <br /> * "We can't remember the city ever trading park property for other property." <br /> We feel we have been openly lied to by city employees. We were coerced into this <br /> transaction by their blatant abuse of power. This whole ordeal has left me physically <br /> sick and stressed beyond belief!!
