The "Trees for • -
Concrete" project, on West 5th Avenue between Lincoln and L
! i
Charnelton streets, began when the concrete crew removed large f +
blocks of concrete to create planting spaces and was completed by 15
volunteers working alongside City staff last Saturday for several hours
in the pouring rain to plant 25 new trees at the downtown site. The
event drew coverage from all three local television stations.
