Other <br /> interested community members are welcome to join the work party. The dog park is located off <br /> of Leo Harris Parkway behind Autzen Stadium. Parking for the park is in lot eight. Waterproof <br /> gear is recommended. <br /> 116. <br /> Work will focus on minimizing the mud, a problem that has become exacerbated by the <br /> heavy rains of the season and the heavy use the park has received since it opened this past <br /> August. Tasks will include placing gravel under the rain shelter, completing a section of gravel <br /> path between the west entrance and the west wash-down station, opening up a section of the <br /> east pasture that has been closed since October when it was re-seeded, and doing overall trail <br /> maintenance. <br /> "This park has received wonderful community support from the volunteer advisory group <br /> throughout the development and now maintenance of the park," says Volunteers in Parks <br /> Coordinator Chris Girard.
