Visitors to the park are asked to enter through Summit Avenue,
Floral Hill Drive, Skyline Boulevard, or Birch Lane.
For the next couple of months, Walama Forest Restoration, a contractor that specializes
in forest restoration work, will be systematically removing invasive vegetation, primarily ivy and
blackberry plants, from the forest in Hendricks Park. These invasive plants stifle the growth of
the native understory, undermine the trees and disturb the ecological equilibrium in the forest,
threatening the long-term viability of the fragile forest ecosystem.
For more information, call 682-4822.
###
