Current projects include: <br /> Saturday, February 23', 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Salmon Habitat Improvement Project, <br /> Phase Two. The project area is located just downstream from Knickerbocker Bridge on the <br /> north bank of the Willamette River. Work party focus is to plant native trees and shrubs. Lunch <br /> will be provided by Hometown Buffet.. <br /> • Saturday, February 23`d, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Stream Team volunteers will remove <br /> blackberries from around the ponds at The Science Factory (formerly WISTEC). <br /> Saturday, March 2"d, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Volunteer help is needed to plant native <br /> trees and shrubs on the banks of the widened Amazon Creek between Oakpatch and Acorn <br /> Park. The project is a partnership with the City of Eugene Stream Team, the Rachel Carson <br /> program at Churchill, the Long Tom Watershed Council and the Eugene Metro Rotary which is <br /> adopting the site. Representative Phil Barnhart will join us to kick-off the event. Get acquainted <br /> with this newly modified stretch of Amazon Creek while getting a chance to meet other like- <br /> minded members of our community! <br /> Sunday, March 3`d, 1:00 p.m. - ?????. ''Hardy volunteers are needed to help plant up to <br /> 200 white oak trees in the headwaters of Willow Creek. <br /> Work parties are open to the general public.
