A couple of comments (that you can use if you'd like):
• Internet is capitalized
• webpages is lowercase and one word.
• Andrea Riner just informed me that she prefers Parks and Open Space Planning as
your section name over Parks Planning
• I would make it a briefer item and bring the most salient information to the top.
Here's my edit:
The City of Eugene Parks and Open Space Planning section has developed a set of
webpages about Eugene's parks at www.ci.eugene.or.us/pw/parks. The pages highlight
planning efforts, volunteer projects and other information.
Statistics show that the City is reaching thousands of people through this medium. In the
month of January alone, well over 3500 visits were made to parks webpages. The
recently developed webpages for the park development projects at Skinner Butte,
Oakmont and Rasor parks have proven to be a valuable tool for engaging the public in the
planning process. Many community members have utilized the webpages to provide input
or find out about community meetings, volunteer opportunities and other activities.
Utilizing the web offers the City many benefits as well by reducing printing costs and
staff time to field inquiries, as well as improving planning and public processes.
Parks and Open Space staff hope to enhance the parks webpages by adding features such
as improved links, online surveys, and a revised, interactive parks map, making even
better use of this valuable tool for communicating with the community. For more
information about these parks webpages, contact Robin Hostick in Parks and Open Space
Planning at 682-4915.
(ray/ P,
c , / e cJ_s P r-
e v-Tcet,C
PvP e se s . rn - Pc
• Yr f R aSe e R c,, —
- .
,213 p / 3 4 eo ( % n .
"C 1.? 7„)61
(/) 4
f\
