We are shifting the paradigm
a bit and will not be closing crossings unless directed by Traffic Ops or we find physical constraints do not allow it in
which case we ask Traffic Ops to approve closure. If a crossing is closed then we will sign it per the direction below.
One of the significant implications of this change is that we will be installing ramps serving all three crossings at tee
intersections.
These practices are effective immediately and should be used for design of 2014 projects. Please let me know if you
have questions.
Thank you,
Matt Rodrigues
Principal Engineer
Public Works Engineering
City of Eugene
Ph 541- 682 -6036
Fx 541- 682 -8410
3
