Exhibit J <br /> CRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE OF SYSTEM <br /> The following shall be successfully tested and demonstrated to function properly prior to the City's <br /> acceptance of the System pursuant to this agreement. <br /> 1. SOFTWARE FUNCTIONALITY <br /> All software and modules shall function in a manner which meets the City's requirements as specified <br /> in the Request for Proposal, and as proposed in Seller's proposal dated May 25, 1994. All screens, <br /> menu selections, and operations within the software shall function properly and as intended. Data <br /> entry, edit, and update functions of the system shall be fully functional. Software menus, functions <br /> and operation shall be explained and documented in the system documentation. Error messages and <br /> help screens shall clearly indicate the nature of system operation, problems, or operator errors. <br /> Software functionality shall be demonstrated by Seller to City upon completion of installation and <br /> confirmed through testing and use by City during the acceptance period. <br /> 2. SOFTWARE CUSTOMIZATION <br /> All screens, database tables and reports will be appropriately modified to incorporate the applicable <br /> data elements as specified in the City's Request for Proposal and Seller's proposal, and as mutually <br /> agreed upon by RJN and City as a result of on -site design workshops, training sessions, and use of <br /> the system by City staff during the software modification period. Adequacy of software customiza- <br /> tion shall be demonstrated by Seller to City upon completion of installation and confirmed through <br /> testing and use by City during the acceptance period. <br /> 3. NETWORK OPERATION <br /> Application software and all related modules shall function within the City's specified hardware and <br /> operating system configuration. The City's network and hardware configuration consists of a <br /> client/server environment with a RISC processor and UNIX operating system database server <br /> connected through Local Area Networks (LANs) to microcomputers functioning as clients. Seller <br /> shall be responsible for proper operation and functioning of the System on the database server and <br /> microcomputer clients as specified. City shall be responsible for proper connection of, and communi- <br /> cations between database server and clients within LANs. <br /> -J1- <br />
