Per your request, we are distributing the material three weeks in advance of your January 13, 1997 Budget Committee meeting. The Service Profile is preceded by a cover memo that includes: a list of the team members; a chart summarizing their evaluation of the service profile process and product; and, the name and phone number of the Service Lead and the analyst from the Service Improvement Team who staffed the project. The contact person is available to Budget Committee members if you want additional information about the service. For this service, the contact is: Urban Forestry Johnny Medlin 682 -5255 Also included with the profile is the "Citizen Review" document that summarizes comments made about the profile during a discussion with the Neighborhood Leaders Group and collected from a follow -up survey. Four sections of the Service Profile: the Mission, Outcomes, Total System measures, and Strategies /Objectives are policy areas highlighted for Budget Committee review. To facilitate this discussion, we have also copied these policy areas onto a separate page that is placed after the Service Profile itself. At the January meeting, the Budget Committee will review these sections and: (1) adopt them, (2) recommend changes and adopt them by motion, and /or (3) identify and forward issues to the Council. I look forward to discussing our work with you on January 13th. Also on your agenda for final action are three profiles you first saw last September: Eugene Celebration, Community Arts and Services, and Investigations.
