I'm sure it wasn't <br />at all intentional. Stuff happens. Do you think, though, that you could <br />talk to the staffer and get an item in Council newsletter next week <br />clarifying that housing folx were doing their best and were not at fault. <br />It's awkward when these things happen. I don't want to make this suggestion <br />to Stone. He acknowledged to me that indeed <br />we had arranged with PW to mow the grass and that it hadn't been done because <br />of a contractors delay. He further acknowledged, with dismay, that he was <br />correctly quoted by Bischoff. He said they had discussed the contractor delays <br />but was then joking around with Bischoff. He was sorry to see the quote in the <br />paper and said he had learned a lesson. He also said he would send a memo to <br />me acknowledging the reality, just in case it caused problems for us. <br />....The grass is now mowed. <br />
