• <br /> Subject to final approval by the City Council, scheduled for August 9, 1999, and subject to the <br /> execution of a long term use agreement (the details of which are currently being negotiated), the <br /> City and District are considering the following development. <br /> In conjunction with the City of Eugene, the Eugene School District 4J is developing youth sports <br /> parks and multi - purpose synthetic athletic fields on two school campuses, a youth sports park on <br /> one middle school campus, and multi - purpose athletic fields at two other school campuses, as <br /> follows (all numbers and descriptions are approximate). Detailed descriptions are attached to this <br /> RFP. <br /> 1. Churchill High School/Kennedy Middle School (CHS /JFKMS). <br /> One multi -sport synthetic surface athletic field. To be located within the track. <br /> Approximate dimensions of the synthetic playing field are 67 yards (width) x 120 <br /> yards (length) plus additional runoff of 1 yard on each side (width) and 8 yards on <br /> each side (length). The field surface will be of "Field -Turf' or comparable <br /> product. The playing lines will be layed out for both high school soccer and <br /> football. The field will have 4 light poles for night games, with "Musco" sports <br /> no -glare sports lighting, or comparable product. There will be aluminum bleacher <br /> approximately 1000 spectators, score board, goal posts sound system, and related <br /> infrastructure and field components. The field will be fenced. <br /> The youth sports component at CHS will include: Renovation, restructuring and/or <br /> refurbishing of several soccer and softball fields; one outdoor full -court basketball <br /> court; improvements (TBD ) to the tennis courts; a new skate board park; outdoor <br /> toilets; picnic and park amenities, walking paths, plantings, etc. <br /> 2. Sheldon High School/Meadowlark - Buena Vista Elementary School <br /> (SHS/MLES). <br /> A similar multi -sport synthetic athletic field to the one described above, with the <br /> playing width being 70 yards rather than 67 yards. All other dimensions are the <br /> same. <br /> The youth sports component at SHS will include components similar to those at <br /> CHS except that there will be no skate board park at this location. <br /> 3. Cal Young Middle School (CYMS). <br /> There will be no multi -sport synthetic athletic field at this location. There will be a <br /> relatively modest youth sports park including: A skate board park, a full -court <br /> outdoor basketball court, toilet facilities, park benches and picnic tables, walks, <br /> plantings, and potentially some field limited field renovation or redesigned layout. <br />
