The project (Hatton Ave Storm Extension) includes storm system work ahead of a proposed private development on the
same site (River Rd Apartments). In the interest of moving our project along without being potentially held up by the
PEPI contractors schedule we plan to remove the trees as part of our work. I have included the sheet that shows the
tree removal.

<< File: 4896-BellmoreSheets.pdf >>
th
Let me know if you have any questions. The project is out for advertisement right now with a bid date of May 28.

Thanks

Katie Marwitz
PW Engineering
541-501-0380

_____________________________________________
From: BELLMORE Mike
Sent: Thursday, May 01, 2014 12:39 PM
To: MARWITZ Katie J
Subject: RE: Tree Removal

Katie,

If the proposed construction takes over 30% of the trees critical root zone it is a technical felling.


If PWE needs to remove a tree, they need to show it on the plans.


Each tree removed shall be compensated by planting a replacement tree within the neighborhood during the

next tree planting season.

PWE will pay $400 to Urban Forestry (journal entry) for each tree removed. This fee covers the planting and

establishment of the replacement tree.

Trees over 12” DBH shall be posted for 15 days.

Please let me know if you need more information.

Mike Bellmore
Urban Forestry Planning
Technical Staff
Cell: 541-510-8962
Fax: 541-682-4950


Please consider the environment before printing this message

_____________________________________________
From: MARWITZ Katie J
Sent: Thursday, May 01, 2014 11:53 AM
To: BELLMORE Mike
Subject: Tree Removal

Hi Mike – Can you walk me through the tree removal process or tell me where I can find a summary of the process?
2
