EUGENE-OR .GOY /PARKS provide additional clarification regarding Mr. Wetzel and Mrs. Robert- Wetzel's discontent regarding <br /> the status of their 2008 vegetation complaint in the Hunter's Glen PUD. <br /> On September 19, 2008, Kristi Hayden, the Vegetation Program Manager received a complaint from <br /> Marcy Roberts - Wetzel concerned with tall grass and weeds at her neighbor property at 4989 <br /> Hunter's Glen Drive. Staff conducted a field inspection and found the terraced front yard and area <br /> PARKS AND OPEN SPACE PLANNING near the brick driveway to have a minor technical violation. On September 23, 2008 a courtesy <br /> notice was sent to the property owner, Cory Domigues. A follow -up conversation occurred with Mr. <br /> PARK OPERATIONS Domigues focusing on the minor vegetation encroachment along the private sidewalk. Ten days <br /> later, Kristi conducted a follow up field inspection determining substantial compliance and the file <br /> was closed in October of 2008. <br /> URBAN FORESTRY <br /> On February 25, 2009, Mrs. Marcy Roberts - Wetzel contacted Kristi again to discuss the property at <br /> 4898 Hunter's Glen Drive. Mrs. Roberts Wetzel was informed the account was closed and not <br /> NATURAL RESOURt _. abatable. Mrs. Roberts Wetzel asked to reconsider the decision and respectfully asked Kristi to "do <br /> her job" and enforce the code. Mrs. Roberts - Wetzel faxed a letter and additional follow up email <br /> correspondence with photo's the next day. On February 27, 2009, Kristi, myself and Jack Long, past <br /> program supervisor conducted a field visit. On March 9, 2009 a second letter was sent to Mrs. <br /> Wetzel regarding the vegetation complaint stating that staff had again reviewed the condition of Mr. <br /> Domigues' property and found it to be a minor technical violation but not abatable violation. <br /> On March 11, 2009 Mrs. Wetzel tried to contact both Kristi and myself and left voicemail messages <br /> to return her call. That afternoon, both Kristi and I were out of the office. However, when staff did <br /> not immediately return the call, the next morning she insisted on speaking with the Parks and Open <br /> Space Planning Manager and the Division Manager who were unavailable. That afternoon, I returned <br /> her call and spoke with her for over an hour and half , listening to her concerns about the vegetation <br /> issue but also the number of her private property disputes with the property owner. On Friday, <br /> March 13, I sent her a list of questions from our conversation, clarifying what specific questions she <br /> wanted in writing. There was no response.
