In response, Public Works will undertake a major revision of the <br /> 1983 Preliminary Amazon Park General Plan. Most of the improvements relate to <br /> implementation strategies already included in the Eugene Parks and Recreation Plan. <br /> Identified improvements include constructing. a parking facility by the LTD bus <br /> station, adding improvements and lighting to existing sport fields, restoring the Amazon <br /> Creek, creating and protecting wetlands, adding two new rest room facilities, constructing four <br /> additional tennis courts, rebuilding the Amazon Pool and related parking, lighting the Adidas <br /> jogging trail, and incorporating the dog - off -leash area into the plan. Other improvements that <br /> are identified at the meetings will be included in the plan update if they fit within the goals <br /> and policvf the Eugene Parks and Recreation Plan. <br /> more <br />
