This Conservation
Agreement (agreement) between the parties listed below has been initiated to conserve
Bradshaw's lomatium by reducing threats to the species, recovering the population, and
maintaining habitat. The primary purpose of this document is to conserve this species (and other
rare species, if found) through conservation measures under the Endangered Species Act of 1973,
as amended (Act). The secondary purpose of this document is to allow involved parties
(cooperators) to demonstrate their concern and commitment to preserve the natural heritage of
lands owned by the City of Eugene (City) along Amazon Creek (conservation area) (Figure 1).
I. SPECIES INVOLVED
Bradshaw's lomatium Lomatium bradshawii
Other species included in this agreement are those found on Oregon Natural Heritage Program's
(ONHP) "List 1" of rare native plants, such as white - topped aster (Aster curtus), Willamette
daisy (Erigeron decumbens var. decumbens), shaggy horkelia (Horkelia congesta ssp. congesta),
Kincaid's lupine (Lupinus sulphureus ssp. kincaidii), and Fender's blue butterfly (Icaricia
icarioides fenderi).
