MORGAN Dick A
From: RHAY Tim W
To: MORGAN Dick A
Subject: DRAFT Lomatium Conservation Agreement
Date: Friday, May 10, 1996 9:28AM
Jesse Cary -Hobbs pointed something out concerning the language of item # 10. on p. 17 (mowing timing)
that I didn't "catch" on first reading. ODFW is proposing restricted mowing in "suitable L. bradshawii
habitat ", not in those areas where populations have been identified. This would mean no mowing until
after L.b's seed set in any undeveloped land where L.b COULD grow w /in the Upper Amazon Basin, not
just where it has been found. That could include all of E &W Amazon Drive, Frank Kenny Park, and the
channel from 33rd - 24th, etc. That's a very different matter than the way we have been managing our
L.b areas. I beleive there is a need to adjust that language to specify identified populations, in addition to
my own comments sent earlier.
Page 1
