Work with the City to develop site - specific management plans for rare species and <br /> suitable habitats in the basin. <br /> C. THE NATIVE PLANT SOCIETY OF OREGON SHALL: <br /> 1. Provide technical assistance to the other parties regarding the biology, ecology, and <br /> management of rare species and their habitats. <br /> 2. Provide funding and/or volunteer labor, as available, for habitat maintenance and <br /> restoration activities, including relocation of facilities. <br /> 3. Maintain current records of all surveys and monitoring projects provided by other <br /> parties. <br /> 4. Work with the City to strive for eventual recovery of L. bradshawii and other rare <br /> species that may occur in the area. <br /> 5. Work with the City to develop site - specific management plans for rare species . and <br /> suitable habitats in the basin. <br /> D. THE CITY OF EUGENE SHALL: <br /> 1. Survey all parcels and portions of parcels within their ownership in the Basin, which are <br /> not covered by structure or pavement, between downtown Eugene (north, Martin Way <br /> (south), and outward (to the east and west) to include lands up to an elevation 25 ft <br /> higher than the top of the bank of Amazon Creek, measured perpendicularly form the <br /> direction of flow. <br /> 2. Conduct surveys for new subpopulations in 1996 and 1997, and every,'years, beginning <br /> in 2002. / O <br /> 3. Conduct surveys using individuals very familiar with the biology and ecology of L. <br /> bradshawii and the other potentially occurring rare species. <br /> 4. Conduct surveys only during periods when rare species that may occur or are known to <br /> occur in the basin are most visible <br /> 5. Provide maintenance personnel with on -site direction as to the limits of all known <br /> subpopulations of target species, and the vegetative and flowering appearance of each <br /> one occurring in the area. <br /> 1 <br />
