* *DRAFT ** 8 <br /> e. Students will cooperatively write and compile a monitoring <br /> report regarding the status of the wet prairie remnants <br /> within the conservation area. <br /> 3. Assist the school district in the protection of the plant colony south <br /> of 18th and Pearl (Figure 1) by: <br /> a. Maintaining the barrier as described in VI.B.1 a; and <br /> b. Providing technical assistance regarding the flowering <br /> season and seed maturity of Bradshaw's lomatium. <br /> D. THE OREGON DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE SHALL: <br /> 1. Work with the school district to identify opportunities to conserve <br /> and strive for eventual recovery of Bradshaw's lomatium, other <br /> rare species, and native grasslands that may occur in the area. <br /> 2. Work with the school district to develop site - specific management <br /> plans for rare species and native grasslands habitats in the <br /> conservation area. <br /> 3. Provide funding and/or volunteer labor, as available, for habitat <br /> maintenance and restoration activities, including relocation of <br /> facilities. <br /> 4. Maintain current records of all surveys and monitoring projects <br /> provided by other parties. <br /> 5. Provide technical assistance to the other parties regarding biology, <br /> ecology, and management of rare species and their habitats. <br /> DURATION OF AGREEMENT <br /> This Conservation Agreement shall remain in effect until Bradshaw's lomatium is <br /> delisted when it may be renegotiated. The parties involved will review the Conservation <br /> Agreement and its effectiveness every five years, beginning in year 2001, to determine <br /> whether it should be revised. If some portion of this Agreement cannot be carried out or <br /> if cancellation is desired, the party requesting such action will notify the other parties <br /> within one month of the changed circumstances. <br /> • <br />
