STATION -
Do Park
Amazon Park is one of Eugene's most popular dog
parks, and it shows. The wear and tear of
everyday use, especially in the wet winter months
takes its toll on the modest 2.3 acre fenced area.
Improvements to the dog park are proposed, but
we need your help. Volunteer groups have helped
to make terrific improvements at Alton Baker and
Morse Ranch dog parks. This volunteer
investment is needed at Amazon too.
Proposed improvements include:
• Increase the size of the park by moving the
existing fence line further south and west.
• Install double gated entries, similar to those at
Alton Baker.
• Install benches.
• Plant trees.
• Construct a bulletin board.
See the back page of this bookletfor
information on donation and volunteer
opportunities.
STATION 4-
N ew Rerbwm
Located between Amazon Community Center and
the picnic and children's play areas, the new
restroom will be a welcome addition to this
vibrant portion of the park.
Pick-a-
L ocation
It's a long walk
between 24th and
30th Avenues. And
currently there aren't nearly enough places to sit
and enjoy the view. Along your tour, keep in
mind where a pleasant place to sit and rest would
be. Plant your flag in that location and we'll make
note of it at the end of the evening. Thanks for
your help!
See the back page of this booklet for
information on donation and volunteer
opportunities.
The location was chosen due to it's proximity to
high activity areas, ease of access from the bike
path, low- impact on existing open space and
views, and maintenance accessibility.
