Interest and Involvement of Agencies and Organizations <br /> U. S. Corps of Engineers: Their recent Eugene - Springfield, Oregon Metropolitan Waterways Project <br /> Section 905(b) Analysis identifies four particular waterways that will receive an immediate detailed, <br /> focused examination including the Amazon Canal. The report analyzes successes and opportunities <br /> for further projects specifically mentioning the section proposed in this document. <br /> Lane County: There have been discussions over the potential for using County Road Funds for the <br /> traffic calming and minor gateways portion of this plan. <br /> Lane County Fair Board: The Fair Board has allocated $325,000 for projects outlined here. $25,000 <br /> is being spent this year. <br /> Eugene Water and Electric Board: Deborrah Brewer and Don Wilson have expressed EWEB's <br /> continuing interest and willingness "to work as a partner" - especially in regard to our "naturalization" <br /> efforts. EWEB is in complete accord with us in trying to reduce maintenance and chemical use, and <br /> in taking advantage of natural flora in landscaping. <br /> Long Tom Watershed Council: The Council is initiating a proposal for an Oregon Water <br /> Enhancement Board matching grant (75 %) in either the Phase 1 or Phase 2 section of Amazon Canal <br /> as outlined in this proposal. <br /> O'Hara School: We have scheduled a meeting with the new Principal of O'Hara to re- establish their <br /> interests in this project. <br /> Potential Funding Sources for City Projects <br /> General Fund <br /> Storm Water Capital Funds <br /> Parks and Open Space Bond <br /> Parks SDC's <br /> Matching Grants from other Sources <br />
