Lower Amazon Creek <br />• If a species is included in more than one planting zone, a single cluster across both zones <br />can be displayed. <br />• To allow adequate conveyance, NO plants should be near bridges. Leave a distance of <br />approximately one bridge width on either side of each bridge unplanted. Leave 20 feet <br />unplanted centering on each outfall. <br />• This part of the creek needs different Guidelines for Tree and Shrub Plantings. <br />o Type A: Areas that have been not been widened 4 which includes most of the <br />section between Bailey Hill and Wallis Street, from West 11 to Bertelsen Road, <br />and 100' before and after all bridges. <br />o Type B: Areas that have been widened slightly and planted as a flood plain <br />which includes Beltline Highway to Danebo Road, and from the Danebo Bridge <br />to the Railroad Crossing (except before and after the bridges). <br />o Type C: Areas that have been substantially widened 4 this includes areas such as <br />Meadowlark Prairie and the section between Wallis and West 11 (except before <br />and after the bridges). <br />Type C: sections are allowed to be planted on all zones. <br />• Not every section (especially type A) would have the full amount of plants. <br />Diagram example for type A <br />Top of Bank < 10 -20' > < 10 -20' <br />Upper Bank <br />Lower Bank <br />Creek <br />Diagram example for type B <br />Top of Bank - < 10 -20' > <br />Upper Bank <br />Lower Bank 00-- <br />Creek <br />27 <br />
