. In response to a question from Mr. Sonnichsen, Mr. Richardson said that he would find out when the pub-
lic process would begin related to altering the West Alton Baker Park plan in relation to the disc golf
course process. An alteration of the Willamette Greenway permit will also be required.
Mr. Sonnichsen related that he did not like the way the park host property had been reconfigured to have
so much concrete at the northeast corner.
Mr. Hughes agreed.
Mr. Richardson said he would convey to Rob Hallet, who was managing the project, as well as to Nearby
Nature, these comments
Mr. Richardson and Mr. Sonnichsen expressed their frustration that the kiosk, partially funded by the Har-
low Neighbors, had been removed and would be replaced in a new, nearby location
Mr. Richardson said that there was an unused power pole in the general area, and EWEB had removed it
along with guide wires near the Day Island Road intersection.
Ms. Mello asked if the disc golf park was definitely going to happen.
Mr. Richardson said that he did not think it was a certainty, and explained that parking had been discussed
related to the field, and to the perceived needs of the Cuthbert Amphitheatre.
Mr. Biggs asked what had to be amended in the Willamette Greenway permit for the disc golf course to be
put in.
Mr. Richardson explained that the Willamette Greenway permit had a map that identified all projects, so if
a new project was proposed, it needed to be amended. He said he would keep the CPC informed on the
process.
8. Old Business
Mr. Biggs mentioned the erosion adjacent to the dog park area. He thought one solution might be to add a
gate at the point where the canal was diverted. The gate could encourage people to take their dogs to the
canal via the concrete pad.
Ms. Mello thought discouraging use of the canal altogether was a better solution.
Mr. Biggs agreed, but thought that would be hard to enforce.
9. New Business
No new business was brought up at this time.
10.
